Sattelite TV

I noticed recently that when using our DVR, whether live satellite TV or playing back recordings, that the "thermometer" at the bottom of the screen is missing... the one that told us how far into the show we were, how much we had to go, the speed ("1" through "4") at which we were "fast-forwarding" or "rewinding" and a nice green "thermometer" bar graphically showing us where we are in the playback, etc. That was a very nice feature, but now it's gone from my TV. What happened? How can I get this feature turned back on?

I have tried searching the "Menu" on DirecTV, but I can't find any settings for that feature.

Can someone tell me how to enable this nice green thermometer feature?

Have you tried a red button reset?

Hello @JimMills, I'm sorry to hear that you're missing the progress bar feature on your DVR. One solution could be to reset the box. This may restore the missing feature and bring back the functionality you're looking for. You can visit https://www.directv.com/support/article/000093679 to know how to properly reset your receiver. Thank you for choosing DIRECTV. Danna, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Cycling power on the receiver/dvr box did the trick. All is good now. Thanks for comments and suggestions, everyone! :)

Glad it worked for you. For most common issues, a red button reset works great. In the future, if you have more issues, don’t hesitate to do another red button reset.
