Satellite never catches up after an outage without rebooting??

I’ve tried to explain this to customer service over the phone several times but I just get frustrated so I’ll try to explain it here with an example of what happens.
I have regular Directv satellite with dvr: For example: tv is tuned to channel 10(nbc) and scheduled to record a program from 8-9 pm. However, before that time even starts there is a satellite outage at 6pm for less than 5 minutes.
When the program that is recorded at 8-9 pm all of it is not recorded and I get the message that there was a satellite outage (even if I’ve watched it in real time & know the outage was 2 hours before). It’s like the satellite never catches up. I have to reboot it every time it happens. This is very frustrating because I don’t always know it happens until I go to watch a recording and it hasn’t recorded the entire program. Has anyone else had this issue and/or have any other ways to deal with it without having to reboot each time? Thanks

Most likely you dish needs to be aligned to stop the signal loss in the first place.
