Record all MLB baseball games for a single team on a specific channel
How do we record all live/new San Diego Padres games on the new channel assigned to them (694-3)?
When we set up a "Team" series recording, various other channels to which we do not subscribe often are selected for the recording. So, we get several hours of black screen recorded, even though the game is actually playing on channel 694-3.
And when we set up a regular series recording from one of the games, it will show up (for example) as "Cubs at Padres." So, I presume it will only work for games when the Cubs are playing in San Diego. It will not work for "Padres at Cubs," and it will not work for any of the other teams--either home or away. So, hypothetically, we would have to set up around 58 series recordings to capture all of the teams in the MLB both at home and away.

Setting a series from the guide will record all Padres games on that channel. That is what I did for the Dodgers games but you will need to watch out for Padres games on other channels as they will not record.

I am having the same issue since MLB took over the broadcasting and changed the channel to 694-3. I can only record the current game, as there is no option to record the series.

AFAIK it was DTV that put it on 694-3 not the MLB, no idea why setting it up using the guide, finding a current game and pressing the record button twice is not setting up as a series.

After trying it a few times and waiting a few minutes, it seemed to work to hit the record button twice on a live showing of a single game--even thought the title was "Cubs at Padres." After doing that and looking forward in time in the guide, future games against other teams are flagged to be recorded. Now, I had also set up a Padres "Team" record various times, but I had deleted that, because it was not useful. In any event, it seems to be working now.
Now, if only the Padres could consistently score some runs each game with all of their highly compensated star offensive players.

You don't need to wait, you just go to the guide find that game press record twice.
