Pay per view did not record on my hard drive

Hughesnet satellite internet probably why my first attempt since they increased my data to record a pay per view movie “Barbie”. Broadcast error resulted in five minutes of recording and then nothing. Will it be in the App? Or can I get a refund?

The PPV should be a 24-72 hour rental. That would mean you could try downloading again and watch it as long as you do so before the expiration date.

However, you have a further issue with satellite internet. DirecTV being connected to internet always has some background usage. The initial bulk download when first connected and then ongoing updates to keep the On Demand info current. That can burn through your data allowance even if you are not often actively using On Demand. As such, being connected to satellite internet or any other type with data caps that throttle or have overage is not recommended.

Most PPV are sent by satellite so your internet has nothing to do with it.  It is on several PPV channels in the120.

If the PPV was in the 1000s, it was On Demand from internet. Could try downloading again (be mindful of data cap).

If in the 100s than that is from the DirecTV satellite feed which is completely separate from your satellite internet. Just record the next timeslot on the channel.

The PPV time is from purchase, not the download/recording of it. So make sure you can finish before the time is up. And best practice is to download/record first so you can purchase when you are ready to watch (and can optimize the time if you want to watch it again, or someone else at home can only watch it at a different time than you).
