Paramount + Showtime

When does Direct TV become "partner" of Paramount Plus?  When and how do we access the streaming service through Direct TV.  As of today, Direct TV is now shown as a "partner".

Are you referring to using the Paramount app and signing in via TV provider to access Paramount Plus and Showtime content?

I'm having the same problem!

When Paramount and Showtime announced they were merging their content, I instantly added Showtime to my DirecTV package... to have access to Paramount+ with Showtime. A month later... I still can't log into Paramount+.

You can visit https://www.paramountplus.com/link and see that the only available "partners" are Spectrum and Hulu.

Maybe the DirecTV bosses upstairs will see this thread and make a phone call to get the wiring all sorted out. We need to be able to log in!

Only a few employees and the moderators read these posts and it is Paramount that needs to add DTV as a provider.

@shannon02 Do we need to create a new account when signing in with our Direct TV account ? When I click on Direct TV it asks me to create an account even though I clicked on sign in with TV provider and chose Direct TV.

Don't know as I'm still trying to log in.  Yes, I do believe if you don't have an existing Paramount+Showtime account with Paramount+ you need to make one.  I've tried to create an account but it tells me I have one under the email I used for DTV and to log in but when I do it sends me to create one.  I'm able to log into DTV.

It lets me log in with my DTV credentials but does not show me movies or anything. It is asking me to create a profile so I don't know that is the process after it accepts a persons tv provider sign in.

@shannon02 I already have Paramount Plus as a separate subscription. It does not recognize that when I sign in with my DTV credentials. And even signing in with my current subscription I don't see a way to link my Direct TV account.

I tried to log in again with my DTV user name and password. I am asked to create an account and when I do it says I already have an account. Can't get past that.

I canceled my Paramount plus subscription once I found out I could sign on with Direct TV.  I uninstalled my paramount app from our TV and then reinstalled it. I selected Sign On and got three ways to sign on I used the Web method which meant I had to download Paramount Plus app to my phone I was then able to use my Direct TV credentials to sign on. At this point, the  QR code appeared on my TV, which I scanned with my phone. An activation  code appeared and I was connected. BTW I am using firestick if that makes a difference. There may be an easier way to activate the account, but this worked for me.
