Pandora is not working on my main receiver

HR44/500 receiver Pandora plays for less then one minute then skips to next song. On Genie it works fine.

When did the problem start?  Have you tried resetting the HR44?

Hey @Pietrucker. @litzdog911 is right. Try restarting your receiver and modem/router, then check app updates. Also, if you're playing music while viewing a video, it won't work since HR44 receivers do not permit Pandora's music during video playback. The HR44 is the Genie the rest are mini clients.

Pandora is built in and can't be updated by the user.

None of the Genie's can play Pandora while watching another channel but the HR24 does.

Thanks for the input, @shannon02. In addition, there's a known outage related to partial song duration or skipping songs on the Pandora app. Our team is aware and is working on it. Rizza, DIRECTV Community Team

Ok, it’s been over 1 month now and the known Pandora issue of playing a song only 1 to 1 1/2 minutes is still going on. How do we as paying customers escalate this problem to the correct desk?

Forgot to add that I’ve tried all the suggestions: reset the receiver, unplug the receiver, log out and back into Pandora, power cycle my modem. Nothing works.

Greetings, I'm also experiencing the "Pandora 30-second skip to next song" issue with DirecTV's Genie 1 service using DirecTV's HR44-700 main box. Pandora skip issue began only recently in March 2025. Curiously, a DirecTV Satellite C51-100 box in the same home plays the full Pandora song with no skip issue. 

Any updates or fix?

Question -- has anyone here successfully resolved the Pandora song skip issue by upgrading from Genie 1 to the new Genie 2 Service?

i.e., swapping all hardware boxes for the new HS17 server and the C71KW-400 (Gemini) 4K clients? W stands for Wireless. 2-year contract extension, no other costs, with DirecTV on-site tech installation if account offer available.

Thoughts?

Yes, same here! Pandora 30-second preview issue is now resolved on the HR44-700 box. Pandora is now playing the full song before playing the next song, yay. Thank you for the fix, DirecTV team!

Note in DirecTV > Settings > System Info & Test, 

Software now reads:

0x1be9, Tue 5/13, 12:44am

Software previously read:

0x1bdd, Fri 3/7, 3:24am

This time period roughly corresponds to the beginning and end of the Pandora issue. Perhaps a software update fixed the issue. Grateful for this community.
