I can't find local channels in the Guide and therefore can't record them. What's wrong?

Don't know. Need more info ....
DVR/Receiver model number?
When did the problem start?
What happens if you enter the channel number directly on the remote?
What troubleshooting have you tried so far? Reset the DVR/Receiver?
Sorry for delayed response. I took your advice and RESET. I soon found the local channels. I don't know if this is due to the RESET or just dumb luck.

usually red button resets are a good way for the receiver to get the latest info and channels. It essentially clears all the cobwebs and gets everything going again. Glad you are up and running now..

Note All OK Now response is 7 months old.
This problem began about a week ago.
Model number is HR24-200.
Red reset button and unplug resets have not worked.
Number keys seem to be dead.
Samsung remote control seems to be working OK.
