NFL recording question
Hello,
I am a longtime Xfinity customer considering switching to DTV. I am told that when I make a
recording, 2 copies are made. One goes to the hard drive and one goes to the cloud. We only
see the cloud version if something interrupts the main hard drive recording. Starting with 9-5 NFL opener,
every recording I have made has gone to the "cloud" I find this version inferior and problematic in playback.
This problem has been confirmed by other Xfinity customers, so it is not my equipment. It has become fairly obvious
that either the NFL or Xfinity is purposely doing this for whatever reason. I cannot get an answer out of Xfinity, so can anyone confirm here if their recording of NFL games this year are normal as in previous years?

Hi @tbill1. Thanks for your interest in our service. DIRECTV via Satellite recordings don't have an option to produce two types of copies. They only go to the main receiver's hard drive, but it can also be accessed using the DIRECTV app with compatible devices in and out of the home. Please make sure that it's linked/opted in to DVR streaming before using this feature while on the go. Eligible receivers: HR44, HR54, and Genie 2 (HR17).
