Nexstar Feud

I am a very unhappy subscriber to U-Verse.  First, AT&T/Direct TV took away my ABC programming when the conflict with Mission Broadcasting began last October.  Now I have lost my CBS channel because of the Nexstar problem.  I have been a loyal subscriber to U-Verse for at least 10 years.  I am also an AT&T stockholder. Direct TV/AT&T is billing me monthly for channels I do not receive.  It’s time for that these conflicts with Mission and Nexstar end. I bet your advertisers don’t like spending money for me to see ads I don’t view.

As we do with all networks we provide, we must work on new agreements with the networks we provide every few years to continue delivering their programming to you. Nexstar, the nation's largest local TV broadcaster, is seeking significantly higher rates from our customers.  you can still enjoy much of your same sport and entertainment for free with our Over-The-Air antenna following the steps on this link: https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/evergreen-assets/safelinks/1/atp-safelinks.html. We are very sorry for any inconvenience during this period. We are working with Nexstar toward a compromise to return its channels to our platforms. For more information, please visit TVPromise.com. So why did you post on the DTV sat forum?  The Nexstar dispute is effecting all 3 AT&T services.

I’m using this forum because AT&T owns both Direct TV and U-Verse.  On my home U-Verse, I have lost two stations because of Direct TV contract negotiations.  Everything on the dead channels sends me to Direct TV.  There is no alternative.  Whatever happens with Direct affects U-Verse.

And I have emailed both Mission and Nexstar.

AT&T sold off 30% of DTV and the new partner is running the day to day operations.  AT&T still owns Uverse but since they no longer allow new customers it is left to run as is.

U-Verse channel availability is still dictated by Direct TV.  It doesn’t matter who owns how much.  As long as Nexstar and Mission cannot finalize contracts with Direct TV, I cannot watch, in this case, ABC and CBS for which I am being billed by AT&T.

DTV has nothing to do with Uverse.

Sure you can you just need to buy an OTA recorder.  TiVo sells them.

Thank you for the responses.  I do not want to but additional equipment like the TiVO.  I do have the Genie-2, but was told that is was not compatible with the LCC.  I hope they can resolve quickly.  I know this happens with every TV provider, but still is frustrating for the end consumer.

Thank you for the comment.  I appreciate it.  It would be nice if they had a newer LCC that worked with my set up, oh well.  I also remember when they broke out the costs for the locals, I also had the west coast feeds also.  Too bad they got rid of that also.  Have a great day

It was the FCC that let the Stellar Act that allowed DTV and all other TV providers access to the DNS channels to expire.

I did miss that feature a lot.  Now that you mention that, I do remember that
