Loss of Signal on DIRECTV - Need Troubleshooting Help
I hope you're all doing well. I've recently been experiencing a recurring issue with my DIRECTV service. Every so often, the signal is lost, resulting in a complete interruption of the broadcast. This has become quite frustrating, especially during important shows or events. I've tried the usual troubleshooting steps like checking the connections and rebooting the receiver, but the problem persists. I'm reaching out to this community in hopes of finding a solution or getting some advice on what might be causing this issue. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? If so, how did you resolve it? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there. What error code do you receive when your receiver experiences an intermittent signal, error 771? By reading your post my immediate assumption is that the satellite dish is not aimed correctly, or that there is some sort of cabling/receiver issue. Does this issue occur on other Receivers (if you have more than one)? When did this issue start happening, and do you notice the signal go out at a particular moment, or is it random? In other words, does it go out with little rain, or something else?

DVR/Receiver model number?
Do you have other DVR/Receivers? Do they all do this?

The FCC is allowing Direct TV to hide the fact that only programs associated with MLB are having this problem. Coud it be that Direct TV does not want customers to record baseball games, as recording is not available and the picture resolution is diminished.

In your reply, was an error code indicated, just indicates to select the change to streaming. Another question, Direct TV gave the MLB channels at no charge. Another ?, why is the FCC allowing them to do this.

My DTV sat Dodger games are recording fine . DTV and all other TV providers pay the MLB for the games and charges their customers an RSN fee.
