Local Channels Cut Off Today
Direct TV just cut off all the local channels today and I’m (Edited per community guidelines). You need to either bring back the local channels or reimburse
me for all the tears of service I have paid.

Sounds like you have an SD only system so unless you call DTV for their free SD swap offer you are out of luck, DTV will not be returning the SD local channels. Or it is possible that your local channels are owned by the same owner or they are managed by them and they removed their feed to DTV.

How dare you? So what am I paying a monthly bill for? Or what services or
for what channels since you cutoff all
the local channels today. I never thought
of you like all the others but now I do. Saad…

This is getting ridiculous, I left Dish network because they to were in Contract dispute with ABC. They were off for 8 months. So I cancelled them, started Direct Tv, now they have cancelled all my sports, ESPN, accnetwork, my local channel 2 and more. I have 30 days to cancel since I started Direct RV, I looking at going with comcast. Really getting upset. Everytime ATT takes over something , they screw it up.

AT&T sold off 30% of DTV and no long handleds the day to day operations.
As you see changing providers doesn't protect you from contact disputes.
AFAIK DTV sat has no 30 day cancellation period.

We subscribers can't win. All providers are affected by these crazy "contract disputes". The big network corporations demand more and more $$$, forcing providers like Comcast, Dish, DirecTV, YouTube TV, etc., to raise their prices. And causing more subscribers to cancel.

Disney wants more money. DTV would have to raise rates if they gave Disney every penny it wants. That is what the negotiations are all about. We customers have a right to be frustrated but be advised, simply changing providers only means you switched to a provider who will sooner or later be faced with the same problem. This has happened with friends who changed providers three times in my area for the same reason and are now back with DTV. It frustrates me too but I realize that the only choice is patience.

Do what I did. Cut the cord with all the big boys. I get by now with an antenna, regular YouTube and other free streaming content. These (Edited per community guidelines) are not going to hold a gun to my head for more money.
