Issue running on Chromebook

Direct TV works fine on my Gemini devices and Samsung Galaxy phones, but not my Acer Cromebook. On the Chromebook I get a message about "network congestion", but speed test says I have +300MBs.

Version 123.0.6312.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Any advice is appreciated.

The directv app was not designed for Chromebooks AFAIK, so I don’t think it can run properly. You can stream directv online at https://www.directv.com/guide/channel-guide

Thanks, it does work through the browser.  I would think the App would work on a native Chrome device, but it is the tech world. 

P.S. - I'm a =40yr veteran of multiple F100 tech companies :-)

OK, I can back to validate this before declaring victory and now the content will not load via the browser page. Are there Browser settings that may need to be adjusted?

Following the Chanel guide link above, I select a program and opt to Watch Now. This jumps me to https://stream.directv.com/player where it hangs. Similarly, when I select a recorded program form My Library, I get the splash screen for loading, and that's it.

AFAIK DTV hasn't added streaming from the DVR to the app yet.

Since it's not a compatible device, it might not work properly and some features might not be available. In the meantime, you can try these troubleshooting steps https://www.directv.com/support/article/000066820 John, DIRECTV Community Specialist

The OP is attempting to use the website to stream as the app is not designed for Chromebooks. AFAIK the website is unable to stream DVR content and communicate with the DVR.
