is nfl network channel 212 nflhd no longer available?

I am no longer able to watch the NFL Network (NFLHD channel 212), did the channel get dropped? I know it is the off season but still free agency, NFL draft, Combine, etc.

NFL did not get dropped, no. What issues are you having preventing you from watching it? Any error codes?

Apparently my pkg- Entertainment did not contain 212 but I had the basic NFL Sunday Ticket which included 212. And with Sunday Ticket now under YouTube TV, you can only get NFL network with the more expensive pkgs. and it is no longer an add on service.

When you have a seasonal sport subscription (like the NFL Sunday Ticket), you get the corresponding network channel (such as NFL Network) during the season dates only, if you don't have that network in your base package.

The NFL Network is in Choice and above, so Entertainment is one package too low to have the channel year-round.

Same issue.  212 NFL is still available but the 212 NFLHD suddenly went away.  Don't have the NFL Sunday Ticket, so the answers below don't really explain why it was stopped just recently.

Someone else in another thread mentioned the same issue (HD-only version stopped working). What is the exact name of the package you're on?

We've been a long time subscriber so the packages may have changed names.  Looks like we have the Entertainment package.

Regardless, NFL HD doesn't show on any package, just NFL (ch 212).  The HD version is not shown in the 8/17/2023 channel lineup.  NFL and NFL HD both show as ch 212.

NFL HD was there for months, then mysteriously disappeared.

Too bad, probably some technical, bandwidth, or budget issues.   Thought someone would know why and if its coming back.

Entertainment is not supposed to have the NFL Network at all. That is Choice and above. What most likely happened is you initially got it from a free national trial of Xtra (so given to everyone) that lasted about a week. When the trial was over, not all channels updated their authorizations correctly leaving you with channels you shouldn't still have. Eventually something triggers a refresh of service authorizations that fixes the issue. It is not unheard of for such a fix to be months or even years later when it finally catches up. What is odd is the refresh only removed the HD version, not both.

The only way to legitimately get the NFL Network in Entertainment is if they do another free trial of a higher package (since requires at least Choice). In prior years the NFL Sunday Ticket would give you the channel during the season, but that sports subscription is no longer available.

Looking up our old agreement, our package is called 'Select Plus'.  Don't know what channels we should get.

Select Plus is a grandfathered plan. I wonder if that was an earlier version of Select. In any case, you changed packages at some point during your service to Entertainment.

This will verify what channels you should get in Entertainment.

DirecTV Packages & Channel Lineup

Since DirecTV lost the rights to the NFL Sunday Ticket (residential accounts), they now have the NFL Network and Red Zone in the Sports Pack. This is cheaper than raising to Choice which has a Regional Sports Network (RSN) fee on top of the base package cost. https://www.directv.com/sports/sports-pack/
