I watch news at work on computer. Do I really have to add Stream?

On my dinner break at work four nights a week,

I've been watching the news on my work computer. I log into my Directv account. We have Directv at Satellite TV at home. This is the only show I watch outside of our home. Lately, I've been getting an error message that I have to add Direct Stream. Really? Is there a workaround?
just to watch the news four nights a week?

DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM are two different providers.

Make sure you are selecting the correct service when logging in. Might try clearing cache/cookies as normal to see if that refreshes your credentials.

Assuming your IT didn't update anything for network access (as you said this is on your work computer), then it might just be a bug.

What channel are you having trouble with?

Are you logging into the DirecTV website or the channel's site?

If you are able to try, do you have the same issue on a mobile device?

If local channel:

Is home and work in the same zip code?

If different, what are zip codes? Determines if in same Designated Market Area (DMA).

Hi, @RedTomato. With DIRECTV via Satellite, some channels are unavailable for watching on directv.com via computer. Channels may be available through the DIRECTV App on mobile devices. Is the error happening on other channels too?
