How can DirecTV drop FOX TV?
Fox delivers the best Sports broadcasts, the best News channel, and some tremendous entertainment programming. DirecTV cannot afford to lose such a considerable viewer base, including my Nielsen family..

DTV didn't drop anything, your local Fox affiliate removed their feed while they are renewing the contract when they could have left the feed on.

It's all about $$$. Fox wants more of it and DirecTV doesn't want to pay. Just how much more should TV providers have to pay for channels that use our airwaves for FREE??? Learn more here ....

DirecTV is not dropping Fox TV. Get yourself educated on the situation as you cannot afford bad assumptions or wrong information from certain sources.
Agreement between DirecTV and Fox is coming up.
If a new agreement is not reached by the deadline, then Fox has a choice.
Fox can leave the channel on as a sign of good faith for the negotiations...
or Fox can withhold the feed to play hardball (as is their right).
Fox wants higher rates than DirecTV feels is reasonable.
The higher the rates are, the higher our (the customer) bills will be.
Local channel owners have pulled the feed more often in recent years.
To clarify this can happen with Fox owned channels, or a separate company that is a local affiate for your Fox channel, depending where you live.
My stance is why should we customers and the TV provider keep paying more and more for channels we get free over the airways? I say plug in a regular antenna, get the free broadcast, and let the local stomp their feet as much as they want. I didn't go to pay TV for my free locals.

As others have stated, Directv did not drop Fox. The owner of your local Fox channel pulled it from Directv. My local Fox channel is still working fine.

Though a recent Fox affiliate owner was in negotiations, it does appear that Fox itself has their agreement coming up. Deadline for the current agreement ending is the night of 12/2/20220 so tomorrow. We shall see what happens.
