Football game recordings missing

12/4/24.  Football game recordings missing from List -- in Recording History, it lists the games as NFL-cancelled by LIV#1, nothing else, no info about which games.

We had two tech guys come here, last week & this week, because of a muting issue.  First guy replaced mini Genie box in Bedroom and both remotes.  The second guy did not have any clue about these recordings missing.

Tech support on the phone suggested maybe my husband deleted the recordings accidentally, but it has happened a lot since last week.  He lost a whole group of Bengals games.  He knows NOT to delete the whole group at once, just individual games if he chooses.  He watched a recording last night, while it was playing, turned it off, and this morning the recording was gone. 

Could an external device be causing this? -- in Whole House, external devices, "Allow" is chosen for Recordings.  Should it be "Block"?   

p.s. Last month, a string of battery operated decorative lights would come on by itself when using tv remote!!

"LIV#1" is the name of the DirecTV box that deleted the recording. Most likely in the "Living Room"?

Yes, it is the Living Room.  But we did not cancel any football game recordings.  It indicates that we did, in the History.

@Sylk Are the recordings set to keep or until I delete it when they are set to record ?

Yes they are set to keep until we delete them.  Other recordings are ok, it is just the football games. History says Cancelled, not Deleted.   It worked ok yesterday, saved the game recordings.  

This is odd -- I'm wondering if our Altafiber internet hacked into Directv, so we would cancel Directv and go with Altafiber tv.  I know...a paranoid long shot.  Sabotage !

Reset your box twice in a row. Reset it let everything load then reset it again. See if that fixes your problem. If it does not and have protection plan I would get a replacement box from DTV.

Thank you !  I will try that if it happens again.  The box is 10 years old.
