Favorite team recordings from wrong channel

I have Center Ice and setting to record my favorite team's games. 

But the dvr records the wrong channel (seems to be the local network from where the opponent is), not Center Ice channel.

The consequence is that since the wrong channel is not in my lineup, I get the error message and the game is not recorded.

Is it possible that dvr records from the channel with lowest number it finds the game on and doesn't check if the channel is in the lineup?

Using search to set up a series uses its default settings of all channels, On Demand and reruns. Using the guild to set up a series only records that channel.

Thank you for your responses. If there is a way to make it record the right channel, I would appreciate the instructions. I believe I set it up from search now, when I get the wrong channel on some games. From guide is not applicable to Center Ice games, since channels change daily.

I cannot "use the guide to set up each game on whatever channel" to automatically record my favorite team. Every game is on a different channel on each day for Center Ice or any sports package. That is why "record favorite team" exists, that is the equivalent of series recording for regular shows.

Games are aired on 2 channels typically, one is local of the home team, another is Center Ice channel. DVR should pick one of the two that has programming that night, depending on being in my lineup, blackouts, etc.

I am having a similar problem.  Specifically, I have selected the LA Lakers as a Season Record.  The Lakers were also added as "My Team."  However rather than finding the channel on which their games are shown, my Directv Genie DVR tries to record channel 105, which is a 4K channel that I don't even subscribe to.  In the upcoming recordings, the game appears with a red circle with a line through it, basically letting me know that it selected this channel and it will NOT record.  Usually when this happens with other channels, it automatically finds the correct channel and records it, but not as explained above.  I don't want to have to manually check daily to see that it's recording the correct channel.  Is there a fix for this issue?
