disappointed customer
I have been a DirecTV consumer for over 20 years and to have a major channel lost like NBC is unacceptable. Understanding the market as you do and the cornerstone networks your service built upon, you should have clauses in your contracts to negotiate and to arbitrate stalemates without loss of service - even if you have to pay a higher rate for a period of time. We lost FOX in the summer and now NBC. Putting a "cheesy" explanation on the channel that these things happen does not excuse your poor performance in not reaching an agreement or having safeguards in place to protect the quality of your service when negotiations stall.
Previous to this action I was very content with my DirecTV service. I will now be looking at other streaming services on an interim basis to get NBC restored which will also allow me to seriously look at eliminating DirecTV all together. Very sad day for the consumer who works hard each day and just wants to come home and escape for a few hours through entertainment.

So how much higher do you want your bill to be? Tenga the owner of you local channel removed the feed to DTV and will not return it until a new contract is signed and any increase will be passed onto the bill. They did this 3 years ago where were you then? All TV providers have this problem including the streaming services so moving is only a short term fix.

All satellite, cable and streaming TV providers continue to battle greedy corporations that demand more and more money to deliver FREE off-air channels.
Check out this excellent video explaining why corporate network owners keep demanding more and more money from cable, satellite and streaming providers to deliver FREE off-air TV stations ....

An indoor antenna may be a good option, depending on your location.
