DirecTV split my recordings out of their series, please help!

Hello,

I was watching a series of DVR recordings today. When I finished about five of the 24 recordings in this series, I went back to my "lists" section and attempted to begin deleting the recordings I'd watched. After I deleted the first video, a weird image of the DirecTV remote appeared and then all of the remaining videos in the series scattered throughout my other recordings on my list. They are now no longer grouped in a series. How do I either undo this or put them into a new group? I should be able to watch this series in succession, without having to hunt for the next episode through my other recordings.

Thank you

Do you have DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV SATELLITE? Have you tried restarting your streaming device or otherwise directv receiver with the red reset button (side by the access card for HR54 series or front behind the door that says “PUSH”).

Thank you, detuch254!

I have satellite. I restarted the receiver the old school way--unplugging and then re-plugging everything out of frustration. This worked, apparently, as the episodes were restored into one series file again.

It was so unnerving to see 24 episodes scatter throughout my list. I'm just glad it's back to normal.

Thank you for the troubleshooting help.

Not a problem. Glad it worked in the end. As a note, unplugging the DVR is not recommended since it is a fatal loss of power to the hard drive, and could cause some issues. Next time, be sure to use the red reset button.
