Directv on my Samsung TV
I have DTV connected to my Samsung TV and there is usually an Icon for Directv to click on from watching another streaming channel. But yesterday it disappeared and now there is an icon for ATTTV. Does this icon now replace the Directv icon? I can still watch DTV, but I have to turn off the TV and my DTV box an dthen turn themback on to get back to DTV.
I have another Samsung TV that still has the Directv icon.
Please advise

DTV uses an HDMI cable to connect to a TV in most cases and there is no icon. Only streaming services with apps have icons on the TV screen.

That Directv icon on your smart tv is not Directv satellite service. That icon is/was for streaming Direct TV Now, which is a totally separate streaming service that is now called ATT TV Now. The ATT TV app has replaced the Directv Now app. Neither can be used to watch Directv satellite programming. You don’t need to turn anything on/off to watch Directv, just set your tv input to the correct input.

Guys, there's clearly a misunderstanding here. I have the exact same issue, and YES, there was an icon there alongside the streaming app icons, NO it was not the icon for DTV Stream, and I (and clearly markgandera, the person who originally posted this question) have ALWAYS been able to click on that icon to switch back to DTV!! Suddenly now it's just it's gone! So when I turn my TV on, and it displays the Samsung Smart TVs home screen, there's no option to choose to watch Directv! The "source" button just shows "HDMI2" which is what I'm already on! The only way I can do it now, is to 1st do as he did, and turn them both off and back on, (which doesn't always work, gotta try a few times, it's a pain!) and then make sure I watch DTV for a bit, switching channels a couple times, so that next time I turn it on, it will at least show a couple of DTV channel options in "what's on now" on the home screen, because what shows up there is based on what you were watching last time you had the TV on. I don't understand! Why is it gone???
