Directv in the RV does not work unless we are at home.
Our Directv in our RV use to work no problems, but the last two trips out of town,
we do not any service, it says our satellite is not communicating with the box or
there is no signal. But the satellite signal test says we are at 99%. We have refreshed
the receiver manually and had via phone with Directv but still does not work.
But once we return home, everything works just fine, and we can watch the RV TV.
Just want to be able to watch the TV when we are camping since it worked before.
Any ideas?

771 is a dish alignment error.

What is the model of box you take in the RV?
What dish do you have on it?

You'll have issues like this unless your RV dish is a Winegard Trav'ler or DirecTV SlimLine HD dish.

It’s been working for the last year no problem even we go out of state, but having this issue the last two trips. DIRECTV said they’ve sent us a new box but don’t understand why the old box doesn’t work except for when we’re home

@HoopRV
DirecTV has been shutting down their MPEG-2/SD-only feeds. This greatly impacts RV users who tend to have older setups. That is why it was asked to know model numbers of your equipment to see if that is the issue or something else.
Working for the last year means nothing as obviously something has changed. Either something about your setup is outdated or you have a technical issue.

It’s just weird that when we travel it doesn’t work and when we get home it works just fine. After being on the phones with DIRECTV when it wasn’t working, they are sending us out a new receiver. We haven’t received it yet. so I guess we’ll see when we travel in a few weeks if it works away from home

There are multiple satellites. So if you travel an issue might be in one area but not another. That is why getting the specific is helpful to narrow down the cause.
Also you mention "No Signal". Is that the exact error message, as opposed to "Searching for Satellite"? The first one would specifically be from the TV not getting communication from the box, the 2nd is the box not receiving the service (which may be an issue with the receiving dish).
If you please answer the questions asked we shall give you as specific guidance as we can.

The receiver is an H 24-200, the dish is an oval HD dish.
The first time it was working for two days and on the third day, it just stopped working. it would say to check all the cables that something wasn’t connected or when we reset everything we will get the 711 code then it would go back to telling us to check all the cables

Thank you for the information, HoopRV. The error 711 means your service isn't activated. We want to take a closer look into this. Let's meet in DM, so we can check your account. Alice, DIRECTV Community Specialist

711 is Service Not Active.
771 is Searching for Satellite.
No Signal is from the TV itself.
If it is 771, I would also check that there is no damage to the LNB or receiving dish. A better signal acquisition at home might make up for the issue then when you're traveling.
