Directv app says I need to upgrade my subscription because channel isn’t available

We just got a new main receiver and installed no problem.  Both tvs come on, etc.  My Directv app now says “channel not part of your subscription. Upgrade your subscription”.  We changed NOTHING.  We have the Premiere package that we have always had.  Oddly enough, I can watch tv on the Directv app, but will not let me record a series there. I have uninstalled then reinstalled the app twice, cleared the cache and cookies - nope. Not working.  

Finally, I went to the app to record Real Time with Bill Maher because that show is NOT showing up on a MENU search on either television, only on the Directv app.  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.  (My account is in good standing; have never missed a payment).

Can you view/record that channel from the DirecTV Receiver/DVR?

It might say:

“This channel isn't included with your subscription.

Visit your account online to browse channel package options.”

No indication what channel being pointed out.  No indication of anything or anywhere to go for assistance BECAUSE my account is in excellent standing with Directv.  This is obviously an issue with the Directv app.  I will gladly delete it as it is proving more of a PIA than anything. 

It does not indicate/say/do ANYTHING to indicate what channel is being pointed out.  So I have no idea how to rectify what is not even being stated is the actual problem.

Can you view/record that channel directly using the DirecTV Receiver/DVR?

I don’t think I’ve been very clear.  I have no idea what channel is being pointed out.  I don’t think this is very helpful. Thank you anyway.

I am not.  It’s a Samsung.

I am not having trouble with DirectV on my television, but with the Directv app on my iPad.
