DirecTv App No Longer Working
A week ago my DirecTV app stopped working. All I get is a black screen. I quit the app and restarted it, deleted and redownloaded it. Sometimes it takes me to a screen to log in, but when I do, it just becomes to a black screen. I am trying to watch on an iPad Air (11-inch) running 18.3.1.
What's the solution for this?

Are you a DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV SATELLITE customer? Does the DIRECTV app work on other devices? Does your login work on the DIRECTV site?

Hi, @mofarrar. Please power cycle your device by going to Settings > General > Shut Down and dragging the slider. Wait 30 seconds, turn it back ON, and then launch the app. Also, try a different internet connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi). Kesiah, DIRECTV Community Team

This did not work. I’m still getting the black screen. I log in using my direct tv satellite account, and it has never been an issue.
other suggestions?

I tried to log in on a browser, but it put me into the 12th circle of (Edited per community guidelines), telling me my username was wrong, my email didn't exist, and my password was incorrect. Every time I clicked to get a reminder, it started the entire cycle over.

That could explain your issue. Perhaps your login is messed up. I'd try calling DIRECTV and asking for the sign in help department.

I am having the same problem on my iPhone and iPad apps. I am able to login to DIRECTV but when I click on “Watch Now”, I get an error. The DIRECTV app on Roku works fine.
