My Direct TV is stuck on 1 channel and I can not get the guide to appear either

Happens on all or certain ones?

What happens when you try buttons? (symptoms, error message, etc.)

Do any remote functions work?

What troubleshooting (if any) have you tried?

Did something happen before issue started?
