Direct Tv Business Solution
I was tasked to find a solution to some problems a venue is having. I did a thorough inspection and found some serious issues from previous installations. CoAx is running like a spiderweb everywhere and I found a Direct TV LAN switcher that allows connection to the app on Ipad but only has 8 boxes connected instead of the 29 that are in the building. I had hopes that someone could contact me today and help me find a solution and the proper direct tv equipment for purchase.

This issue should be resolved with the business's respective DIRECTV dealer. Having us send you the right equipment to fix the issue is extremely cumbersome because we aren't there in-person.

This is a customer to customer forum mainly for residential customers you need to call the business number.

I did call and I spoke with a commercial dealer. The equipment is available for purchase through client account and doesn't require a technician for install, which is preferred in this situation. The spiderweb of CoAx and splitters on the wall is reason enough. The original technician can't be found, they did a great job but the people that added more boxes to the building just flat out ignored the original techs obvious design. There is a massive spiderweb of 5 splitters on the wall with both ethernet and CoAx everywhere. DirectTV made this cumbersome, I'm just there to solve DirectTVs problems. There are 30 TVs in this building.

You will need to get (and pay) your commercial dealer to do the install. This is way beyond the capabilities (and the responsibilities) of any installer on the non-business side.

Ok, I see everyone here knows more than the person who literally has his hands on the hardware. In fact, I wouldn't have to do this job if DirecTV and original dealer actually gave a hoot about the customers needs and did the job right the first time. You don't treat a commercial building like you install a residential job. I have plenty of experience and practical knowledge and education to connect to a dang network switcher and matrix. You guys are exactly like the customer service that has no interest in being helpful.

We are actually volunteers on a forum not paid at all. And simply put most of us are only mostly familiar with residential-type scenarios, and simple business installations. What you are asking should be done by a DIRECTV commercial dealer. If you lack the technical skills/background information to perform the job don't complain to us please, we didn't do anything to you other than inform you that we are of little assistance with such a big matrix and that the best option is to call a dealer and get it done the right way.
