Direct TV App no longer working
I watch when I am away from my satellite on my iPad or a FireStick. I’ve deleted the apps and reinstalled on both. Keep getting blank screen or error message. Can’t stream anything.

Hi, Jessica. We're sorry you're having streaming issues with the app. What error code/message are you getting? If you haven't yet, check for software updates on your iPad and Firestick, and reinstall the app. More here Get help with streaming issues on the DIRECTV App | DIRECTV Support John, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Good luck Jessica! Having the same issue. They don't have an answer the same run around. Talked to tech support and he said he would send the issues up to the developers or whoever handles. Doubt anything will get fixed

Typical foreign support! I’ve called 2 times. Once to a customer service rep, who followed the laid out plan for problems.
2nd time I talked to tech support. 2 hours later, they said I’m the only person having that black screen on the app. They said they’re kicking it up stairs.
seems they like to blame they’re customers rather than looking for the problem.
The problem is in the latest app. This didn’t start until after I updated the app & of course, you can’t find it get the previous version.

Are you going to the website and logging into your account using a computer, tablet, or phone? Any errors trying to log in to your account? What is the error code and message?

I login on iPhone or iPad. Either one only gives me the MyFree TV or if I use the directv App, it’s logs me in & then the screen goes black in both devices.
I reset my PW twice, have the latest version of the app.
this only started after the latest update.
but according to tech support, I’m allegedly the only one with this issue.

Try logging in from a full computer instead of a tablet or phone. Sometimes functionality is finicky on mobile access.

Are you using the same credentials for both services - DirecTV and MyFree DirecTV? They should be different to prevent confusion.

Sounds like they need to completely reset your login. An occasional issue because AT&T after acquiring DirecTV unified the logins and with selling them back off reversed that which caused issues both times. If they cannot do that over the phone I would submit a BBB complaint
