Cannot open DIRECTV app
When I click on the DIRECTV app on my iPad, all I get is a black screen. My iPad IOS is up-to-date. My DIRECTV app is up-to-date. I tried deleting the app and reloading. The problem persists. Please advise.

Hi @jyngan. Thanks for letting us know. What other devices are impacted? Please try to clear the cache and data following these steps.
Settings, then Apps and Manage Installed Apps.
Choose DIRECTV
Select Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Dear John, I am unable to find “Manage Installed Apps” under the “Apps” icon. When I click on the DIRECTV app icon, there is no “Clear Cache” nor “Clear Data” functions to choose.
I also tried to search for “Managed Installed Apps” in the search box but to no avail.
please advise.

Does the app work on your other devices? Were you previously able to watch it on your iPad? If so, when did the issue start? Charles, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I am having the same problem since last Friday. Only mobile app for my phone and my wife's have the same problem. Affecting iphone, samsung phone, ipad.
Black screen when I sign in.
They don't have an answer.
About ready to cancel as I am paying for all services, satellite and mobile with directv and right now only 50% working. How about 50% off my bill until you get this fixed directv??

I am having same problem. I updated the app a week ago on my iPhone. Then went to use DirectTV and can't login or I get a black screen. We pay a lot of money for the service it Isn't working on iPhone or IPad worked up until the update. Don't know if that is what caused the inability to use service. Please provide a fix.

same problem here. 2 separate phone call to directv and the 2nd one figured it out after an hour long trial and error. they originally thought i was stuck in the middle of the merge change from ATT. i had previously viewed DTV with my phone number and pswd. they then had me change the user name and pswd, this still didnt work. we changed the user name once again to my email and created another new pswd and this time it worked. but i did need to clear all cookies and cache first. and my DTV agent also thinks the new credentials took almost 30 minutes before they showed up on his computer
But I am missing alot of the stations we had before. my grandson loves the game show network and that is one that no longer shows up. along with local networks and movie channels hbo starz ect.
