Cancelled AGAIN with NO notification or reason

We have had our installation appointment cancelled 5 times now FIVE TIMES over the course of 2 months.  Our first appointment was back in August, it was cancelled with no notification.  I had to call and find out that they had cancelled.  Three other appointments have been cancelled without us finding out until I called and waited with Customer Service for an average of 1 hour per call.  Today I called to find out that our upcoming October 6th appointment has been cancelled.  No one called or emailed to notify us about the cancellation of this or any of the appointments, and since they keep cancelling our appointments, we are not even able to access the streaming service.  I have spent HOURS on the phone and waiting for technicians that have never showed up.  This is RIDICULOUS. I have taken off days of work, using my vacation days, only to have our appointments cancelled OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

ATT/DirecTV took our money in the form of some kind of box deposit and now we don't even get to stream.  We ONLY need DirecTV so that we can watch NFL since they have a monopoly on NFL games.  We live in a rural area with no other option for TV besides satellite or streaming and all we want to do is watch football.  ATT needs to fix this.

Thank you for the advice.  I just filed a complaint with the BBB and I also filed a complaint with the FCC.  I understand that companies are understaffed.  I am a teacher and we have been understaffed for years so I can appreciate the difficulty in finding employees, but it is totally unacceptable for DirecTV to cancel appointment after appointment (5 in all now) without giving the consumer notification or explanation.   Especially when they clearly have a monopoly on access to out of market NFL games.

The NFLST contract with DTV is expiring soon and the NFL is exploring options for streaming games. I know you can't stream games but things may change.

Direct Tv cancelled my account with just hours of a notification about the credit being expired and now because it is cancelled I have to chose another package with less channels and more money instead of allowing me to make the payment and continue with what I had. According to the customer service, they sent notifications but the only one that I have is just one email. Very disappointed on the way they do business

after being with them for several years. Direct tv why would you do this to you loyal customer?
