AppleTV app not showing recordings from Genie HR54 system.

I have just “upgraded” to the Genie system to solve issues including being able to watch my DVR recordings from the the AppleTV app while away from home.  

The Genie says it is connected to the Internet (verified by the phone support) but when I check my equipment online, the web page shows it as “not connected not connected to internet”  Ugh

The Genie DVR HR54 is finally showing up in App, but there are no recordings.  

One of the main reasons to “upgrade” was so I could remotely watch my recordings.  

The telephone support from DTV’s 3rd party is useless, it took them over 2 hours to get the remote mini Genie devices working.  

I managed tech support groups for chip makers and now teach technology in schools,  I’m not rookie and this is beyond frustrating.    It is impossible to get any 2nd level support, so why do I waste my time???

Any suggestions before I scrap DTV after being a customer since 1996.

DTV dropped support for streaming recording from the HR54 or any other Genie years ago,  The new DTV app is suppose to add it back, unknown if it has yet.
