Adding Sports Pack to Choice: Do you lose access to sports channels on Choice?

I saw that Redzone is being added to the Sports Pack. As a long-time Sunday Ticket subscriber who has no interest in the YouTubeTV variant of that service, I am interested getting at least the Redzone via DirecTV. When I looked at the offer, I noticed a lot of the channels included in the SportsPack are already available via Choice (ACC Network, SEC Network, MLB Network etc.). If add the Sports Pack to view the Redzone during the season, and then drop it in the off-season, will I lose access to the aforementioned Sports channels? I like Choice, but essentially just want the Redzone.

No, you won’t lose access to those other sports channels already included in Choice.

Hi @wcladley! We’re glad to see your interest in our SportsPack!

To answer your question, no. You will not lose access to those channels if you cancel the SportsPack subscription because those channels are already included within the Regional Sports Networks on the CHOICE package. So, you can get this add-on to watch the NFL RedZone and then remove it in the off-season, and you would still get access to ACC Network, SEC Network, MLB Network, etc.

You can also check this link: https://www.directv.com/channel-lineup/ select the CHOICE option and check the Regional Sports available on your ZIP code.

We hope you enjoy this season’s NFL RedZone. Thank you for choosing DIRECTV! Juan, DIRECTV Community Specialist
