Add Manage Recordings to iPad App

I'd like to see you add a Manage Recordings function to the DirecTV iPad app - especially the To Do List and Series Manager.

Currently I can add recordings but I can't view or manage upcoming recordings.

good idea, but DirecTV won't see your suggestions here.  Best to e-mail them directly by login in to your account and selecting the contacts us link

Thanks. I e-mailed them.

Strange that they don't read their own support forum.

most support forums are meant to be use b y customers helping customers. on this particular forums, there are a few customers, including myself, that got "stuck" and became regulars because we like our system and try to help others do the same.

Dear Mr. Knouse,

Thanks for writing us. Let me first take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us to continuously provide you with our service. It's a pleasure to hear from one of our valued and loyal DIRECTV customers for many years.

I understand your concern about having the function of manage recordings available to the DIRECTV iPad apps specially the To Do List and the Series Manager. I'll be glad to check and provide the information that you need.

Please know that any proposed new equipment or enhancements to current equipment are subject to change until a formal announcement is made, so I don't have any information that I can share with you right now. I have, however, forwarded your email on to our management so that they can have a record of your request.

Directv.com is the best place to find the latest news and information about our service. You can also sign up for our newsletter if you don't receive it already. Just sign in at directv.com/mydirectv and click on the “Update Profile” link and select the option to receive the DIRECTV monthly newsletter.

On a different note, after reviewing your account, I'm happy to inform you that you may be eligible for a special programming offer that would greatly help in reducing your bill. This offer is available for a limited time and only by calling us at 1-800-531-5000. Please call us at your convenience between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM to see what special offer is best for you.

We're constantly reviewing our policies to ensure that we're meeting the needs of most of our customers. We respect your time and I appreciate that you've given me the opportunity to personally address your concerns.

In addition, I have forwarded your request to DIRECTV management. While DIRECTV Management can not follow up with each customer individually, rest assured every suggestion and inquiry from our most important customers is reviewed to determine what changes should be considered.

We are committed to delivering the best television experience for you every day and will continue to develop the unique, innovative programming and services that you have come to expect and enjoy from DIRECTV.

We're glad you're one of our loyal customers. It's feedback like yours that helps us remain America's #1 Satellite provider.

Thanks again for writing. I understand this is important to you, Mr. Knouse. We will continue to strive to provide the best possible experience to you.

Sincerely,

xxx
