771 on all local channels

After over an hour on hold, I got a hold of tech support, and they're having a dispute with the local channels. It would've been really nice if DIRECTV let us know as I just wasted the last few hours messing with this.

The DIRECTV 99 satellite showing your channels is currently experiencing an outage. DIRECTV should get it resolved soon. In the meantime you can stream the channels on the DIRECTV app or if you have a Genie that is connected to the Internet, you can use the SignalSaver feature.

No dispute is existent, the CSR agent at directv was likely unaware of this outage that started early this morning.

DIRECTV has really gone downhill since AT&T bought them. I just wasted a few hours troubleshooting my equipment and then was on hold for an extremely long time with the most annoying message I've ever exchanged in my life something about a talking pigeon.

Is anyone else receiving an Error 771 on the Fox Business station (channel 359) only?  I seem to be receiving the signal on all other stations.

@Dkurtis satellite at  99° is out so any channel that comes from 99 is down

This is a real frustration that is preventable IF only ATT/Directv would be honest about the problem.  On the website they show this (no outage) 

Now when you click on Neither of these it shows a message we are facing some technical issue right now try back later. 

I submit that the 60 minute wait for chat and phone support is entirely the fault of a failure to communicate.   I just wasted an hour I will never get back only to hear that there is actually an outage...  Cant wait until there is a better alternative then I can terminate ATT with extreme prejudice.

It's a nation wide outage with Local Channels not a dispute.

Just crickets from AT&T about the outage. 

But if you call them, you get to hear one of the most annoying commercials I’ve ever experienced while on hold about sports from a talking pigeon  I do not watch sports. I have zero interest in sports. I actually find them annoying, but yet I had to listen to a talking pigeon for almost an hour while I was on hold.

I've been resetting our device all day and finally found this post while Googling! What a bunch of crap. They should have something on their website or better yet send an email to all of their paying customers to let them know. It's 70 degrees and sunny in southwest Michigan today so I know I don't have snow or trees on my dish. What a joke.

On a somewhat humorous note, while on hold today for 60 minutes, I got to hear

Steve Buscemi and Henry Winkler advertise ATT/Directv services with all of the bloated programming with way too many advertisements, it should not be surprising that they choose to advertise to frustrated customers using expensive

Pigeon's voiced by expensive voice actors, who probably now wish they had never done the project...

DTV has no control over what a channel sends them including how many commercials.

Really, they have no control over the advertisement on their on-hold messages and music? I like the ones you can be on in silence.

Its is not a dispute. We having technical issues with a Satellite they are working on now.

We are not in a dispute except Mission Broadcasting and that has been active since 10/22. You are receiving the error due to us having technical issues with Satellite 11 99. They are working on it.
