Why do the wireless receivers need to be paired so often? every week I go through this

Seems like every week when we try to watch tv in one of our 2 wireless receivers, the message to pair them with the router pops up...really annoying. And I can't get a live person through support - anyone gone through the same? Any tricks to fix this? Pretty crappy for $200 / mo service

We'd be happy to help you troubleshoot your wireless receiver, @Lacv75.

 

You can troubleshoot your wireless U-verse T. V receiver by following these simple steps:

  1. Press Menu. With your U-verse remote
  2. Select Help > Information > Troubleshoot & Resolve > TV > DVR.
  3. Follow the onscreen prompts.

If this doesn't improve your receiver, you may need to restart it.

To do this, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds. This takes 5-8 minutes and will impact any DVR recordings in progress. If you have multiple receivers, reboot your wireless gateway by unplugging it from its power source. Wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.
