U-Verse Wireless Receiver Volume Too Low
I recently added a U-Verse Wireless Receiver but I noticed that the volume coming from the receiver is too low. Even when I put 100% volume on my TV, the volume is fairly low.
In searching the threads here, I see instructions on increasing the volume for the receiver (press AT&T button and OK together, etc etc), but I don't see an AT&T button on my remote. I am assuming that those instructions are for WIRED receivers (not wireless).
Is there similar instructions for Wireless receivers???

Hi
It might be with your remote. If you have the S20 remote (has the power button on top then followed by on demand, interactive and my multiview buttons), in order for you to change the volume control to the receiver you will have to press and hold OK and Menu at the same time and release after a second (power will flash red twice after that). Then press My Multiview so that you can use the volume control on the receiver.
Hope this helps

@juncho78 - You have the right idea about something being different. But, it is not the receiver it is the remote. The newer s20/30 series are different.
Find innstructions here for programming to control the receiver (STB) volume - https://www.att.com/esupport/u-verse/remotes/
control STB volume. Set it to max 25 as seen on TV screen, then reset remote to control TV volume.

Had exact same problem connecting through new Riki element tv. Tried finding a way to increase STB volume with my S30 reomte to no avail. Saw a basic troubleshooting FAQ that had changing the Audio between Stereo and Surround as one of the basics. The switch to Surround was a miracle…. Boom, huge volume. Not intuitive but it worked for me.
