Uverse TV with Xfinity Internet

Can my Uverse TV work with Xfinity Internet?  Was on the phone with a AT&T customer service representative and when I asked this question, the line went dead and they didn't call back.  AT&T doesn't provide a high speed internet in my neighborhood and we need to change providers for just internet, but we don't want to lose Uverse TV.

You can have a separate ISP (not AT&T) with U-verse TV.

You’ll keep your AT&T gateway (for Uverse)and internet will require a separate modem.

What Skeeter said. Comcast will provide you with a modem for their internet (or you'll buy one if they allow), but you'll keep the AT&T gateway for your TV.

If possible, you may want to move your gateway near your DVR and connect via cat-5 or cat-6 cable. I'm not saying it'll be a better connection, but it'd be better than coax.

And I highly doubt that AT&T doesn't provide "high-speed." Broadband, last I looked, was anything over 25Mbps down and a lot less than that upload.

AT&T may not provide fiber to your area, but they definitely provide high speed if they provide U-Verse.

Unlike with AT&T TV, U-verse TV needs the AT&T Network connection, so you must retain the wiring and the Gateway, but you don't have to continue to pay AT&T for Internet service.

As baseballisback said, if you have U-verse TV, then you have 18 Mbps minimum, and probably 25 Mbps or better.
