U-verse TV not set up
Hello,
I am a new U-verse customer through my apartment complex. Last week I had my modem and U-verse box installed but it appears that my service was not activated. The internet works but the TV is stuck at a loading screen with a “U-verse is not available at this time message.” Can I please get help resolving this issue?

You haven't been able to order new U-verse TV service for over a year, so I'm not sure whether the apartment complex has one account with a bunch of receivers, or if they've got some special MDU deal going on for TV. Either way, you're in strange territory.
That message normally means that the TV Receiver cannot contact the AT&T Network via the Gateway. How is your TV Receiver connected to the Gateway? Ethernet cable?

Hello,
The box is connected to the modem by Ethernet cable. It was installed by a tech but he left before we could verify it was working. He asked me to text if it didn’t work but when I did he doesn’t respond. When I try to call that number for tech support it says to use the app and hangs up. When I use the app it gets to the part where it cycles the network but then drops the conversation. There doesn’t seem to be any way I can get this working.

Seems very strange that the tech would leave before seeing a picture on your TV, they are supposed to see that all services work before leaving. It would be like a tech leaving while your router is booting up, how could they tell if you were connected to the internet. Do you have an ATT gateway, some people have tried to run u-verse with Spectrum internet, it will not work. Having said that you are going to have to call technical support, and they will try to guide you thru some steps to fix the problem if that doesn't work they will have to send a technician out. But this time do not let him leave before you are satisfied that all your services are working properly. You might want to ask if you will be charged for a tech visit since the tech guy did not get it working the first time.
