U-Verse TV box displays Red X and 8 Error

I've gone through all the steps in this link (https://forums.att.com/conversations/uverse-tv-dvr-receivers/red-x-and-8-underneath/5defd6d4bad5f2f6064dab94?source=ESSZ0SSPR00facsEM&wtExtndSource=20190614232831_U-verse%20TV%20DVR%20&%20Receivers_Wireline_LITHIUM_2405289432#M12005) 5 times, and the box still doesn't work. It loads up with the gear on the screen, then inevitably returns to the X and 8 error message. I've reset the internet a few times, unplugged the box, nothing works. What do I do now?

Call CS.  A new receiver can be sent for a self-install.

If this is the DVR, you will lose your recordings but not your schedule.

You have 60 days to return the old equipment via UPS/FedEx.
