U-verse Receiver won't work
I recently switched Internet service to Verizon. However I kept AT&T U-verse. Receiver won’t work. I’ve tried holding power button for 10 seconds, but that doesn’t help. What can I do?

Hi there Jendries, we'll gladly help you fix your receiver!
Please let us know if skeeterintexas's suggestions helped.
We recommend using the Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool on U-verse TV if the receiver still won't work.
Just follow these steps:
You can also perform a non-disaster recovery to improve the connection. This will keep you from losing your recordings. Here are the steps from our guide on troubleshooting U-verse DVRs and receivers:
Unplug the receiver power cord from the wall or back of the box.
Wait 10 seconds.
Plug in the receiver and DVR.
When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the receiver/DVR again.
Repeat this process two more times.
Plug the receiver back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen. If the Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the previous steps.
Be sure to keep us posted!

Unplug the modem.
Unplug the receiver.
Wait 1 minute.
Plug modem in first. Allow all lights to come on.
Plug in receiver.
Let us know if this helps.

You aren’t required to subscribe to ATT internet service but your UVerse receiver does need to be connected to ATT’s network. You can’t connect it to some other internet provider. Presuming you do still have it connected to your ATT gateway, it’s possible ATT turned something off they they shouldn’t have when you cancelled internet service.
