UVerse Nighthawk Directv

I am a current U-verse customer, also own a Net Gear Nighthawk M6 Pro. I keep the hotspot device in my RV but am thinking of moving it between the house and RV as needed and canceling the 

Internet service at home ($70/month saving).

then if I switch from U-verse to Direct stream I will be able to use that between RV and home.

but... I enjoy the recording feature U-verse offers - does Directv offer the same? If not recommendations please.
