U-verse cable not working

The U-verse dive stopped working tonight.  We have since restarted both boxes by holding down power button for 10sec and then turning box back on.  We have also powered off and on the U-verse internet box.  The screen just shows the U-verse logo and the little white circle going around in the lower right corner.  This has been circling for over 15 min this last reset.

First, U-Verse isn't cable.

Make sure all connections are tight. Call 800-288-2020 for tech support.

Yeah been on hold 45 min and still waiting.  Painful

also - AT&T U-verse is my cable provider- so not sure what you mean.

It’s a technical distinction as most people don’t refer to Uverse as cable but rather IPTV.  Not a super big deal.   

Has tech support been able to give any insight into the matter?   How are the settop boxes connected to the gateway?   Wired or wireless.  Coax or Ethernet.
