Using remote

To go to Netflix I hit <TV Input> on the remote and at the bottom of the TV screen an array of menu choices appears.  At the far left are several (pale) menu choices including  <Settings>.  How do I select one of these with the remote?  It's surely simple but for now, I'm stumped and grateful for knowledgeable users who are willing to help duffers like me.   --Oldster
