Unable to remove cable from outside!!

So I've been an AT&T customer for years and I no longer have uverse, it's even sometime now but still have wireless phone service.  I spent 2 days trying to request for someone to remove the cable they installed from the pole to my house but apparently they can't do that!!!! How the (Edited per community guidelines) is this caring for their loyal customers?! It amazes me how every dept, every vendor washes their hands n unable or unwilling to help!! So now I need to remove this cable myself??!!!! Very unprofessional!!! I'll be considering another phone provider just for this big inconvenience!!
