U300 Cable service still available?
I have been out of the AT&T service area for the past 13 months. I moved back, and would like to start a U-Verse U-300 service again. I ONLY have very unstable DSL in this area, but the cable system worked very well in the past. However, the AT&T website emphasis is apparently on streaming only. Is the (coax) cable service still available, or is it totally discontinued? Thx

The fiber optic (NOT cable) TV service known as U-Verse was discontinued to new customers in early 2020. It remains available to current customers only until whenever AT&T decides to switch it off. This date remains unknown to the public.
The good news is that DirecTV Stream is sort of a hybrid of U-Verse and streaming services. You can use the DirecTV Stream box if you wish (available from the company or legally available via sites like ebay) or you can use any number of devices like a Chromecast, Roku or Firestick.
This service *is* available in your new location, unlike U-Verse which may or may not have been.
You might also be able to upgrade to AT&T fiber internet which may be a lot more stable (and definitely faster) than what you currently have.

Thank you for the explanation!
Fiber is not available to our neighborhood at this time. I sincerely wish it was. Our only choices are AT&T DSL and SuddenDeath/Optimum. Optimum is absolutely the worst ISP.
