TV connection lost at same time each night
Every night my TV shuts down at exactly 1:01 a.m. while I am watching it . Five minutes later everything comes back on. All the titles recorded on my DVR disappear and then reappear. If I am watching a recording from my DVR, I have to completely restart the recording. It is very aggravating The wiFi signal on my boxes disappear during this time. It happens on all the TVs. Either the network is trying to do an update or the network is downloading copies of my DVR recordings. I have had U-verse techs out three times and had my Gateway replaced three times and my DVR replaced twice to no avail. I wouldn't mind if this happened at 3 or 4 a.m., but I am usually up watching TV at 1 a.m.

If it happens every day at the same time I would suspect some local piece of equipment interfering with your equipment.

Me too. EVERY frggin' night/morning at straight up 1am. It doesn't matter what channel we are watching or if we are watching off of DVR. It's only out for about 5 minutes... but it's EVERY day, without fail, at 1am. And, it happens on every TV.
Like the person above said, it wouldn't be so bad if it was around 3 or 4am. We've also replaced our gateway.
i figured it was an update - but I'm beginning to wonder.

yeah, i know the feeling. I've complained about the same thing and even almost got one rep to admit it was a known issue, but, they are a terrible company [Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].

the problem is that there are times, usually 11:00pm and 1:00am, that ATT fails to delver any of the channels they promise. It's literally every night, they do not allow me to watch the Daily Show despite the fact that I pay for them for Comedy Central... I can't watch 11:00 news, or Colbert, or anything that most Americans can watch at 11:00pm I do feel like we need to organize against this company and sue them until they no longer exist as an option to fool people into signing up for them... Also, notice how they edit posts that call for organizing against them, while doing nothing to fix the issue.

I have same issues - constant loss of tv watching after 2am. They can't fix it. Tired of paying $$$ for service that s*cks. And then they tell me I will have to pay extra to go back to wired boxes! If they can't make the wireless STB's work, they should setup wired to work. It's ridiculous!

Same issue here, Tech out 3 times, wirelss boxes changed, WAP changed. Moved distance of wireless TV, Moved the location of the gateway, nothing works. Happens every time at 1101 PM. The signal to ATT Uverse TV is the only thing that is lost. As a test, last night left one TV on (wireless box) with ATT UVerse channels on. On the other TV was streaming to Amazon Video, At 1101, like clockwork, the ATT Uverse signal is lost, but the streaming continued w/o interruption. No red lights on the Gateway. Very frustrating. I had ATT Uverse before they went to entirely phone line connection. Never had that problem, now it is so irritating to have to get up out of bed to push the darn button for 10 seconds to get the signal back up. Wish they would fix that.

I am getting super tired of this. I have had the issue since switching from TWC to AT&T-Uverse. I would switch back if AT&T had not merged with TWC and I am sure its only a matter of time before they ruin that. I would rather pay a higher price and have reliable service then continue on with this. AT&T has replaced my modem and all of my boxes and keep telling me its not their issue. Well ladies and gentlemen, I have never had a service interuption until I signed up with AT&T, so I would have to say it is not the wiring in my house nor do I think it is the hardware since I have had 2 complete different sets. It is possible it is a firmware issue, a software issue or a service issue but regardless AT&T is not delivering a reliable service to its customers. Shame on you AT&T for having horrible customer service.

Yeah, right, because all of us have some kind of electrical interference, across the US of A, at the same time every night.
I guess it's aliens.

I agree AT&T has gone downhill and customer service is horrible. On a side note I do not know where you got you information that AT&T bought TWC but my information from the news is Spectrum bought TWC.

I am getting the exact same trouble in my wireless receiver but at least once the hard wired one was OK. I don't know which piece of equipment is called what but I changed out the piece I think I a router because I had a spare one but it made no difference. Like you, I would prefer this happens at 4AM....

I can depend on losing connectivity at 1:01am every morning. I am in North Texas. I think this is a power down of the signal by U-verse. It doesn't always resolve itself until regular business hours. This is UNACCEPTABLE. NOT EVERYONE WATCHES TV ONLY DURING PRIME TIME.
