remote won't turn TV off

Have you changed your batteries lately?

Yes, I have changed the batteries recently. All the other functions of the remote are working fine, just the power button doesn't work.

Press "menu" then search for help. There's a setup option in there.

If that doesn't work, call 800-288-2020 for a replacement.

First can you confirm if the remote powers off the receiver? If so please try reprograming the remote.

I had the same problem in my kiwi, all the buttons worked, namely, there was no turning on, but it was really about the batteries

Charles, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately the trouble shooting tool doesn't cover my situation when one button doesn't work but the others do.

Baseballisback, also thanks for the suggestion. I tried it - no go. I am going to call and ask for a new remote.
