relocating a tv to another room

Yes.  The DVR is hardwired to the gateway.  All other receivers can be wireless.  

What does ATT charge for the wireless receiver?

Some where around $10 a month.

Unless something has changed of which I am not aware:

The Wireless Receiver will cost no more per month than a non-wireless one, but:

1) They also need to send you a WAP if you don't already have any wireless boxes, and

2) they charge a one-time fee for shipping a new wireless box of $49

What is a WAP? Is it something I can do myself I am pretty techno challenged

A WAP is a box like a TV receiver.  You plug it in to power and connect it to the Gateway with an Ethernet cord.  That's really all there is to it.  You should place it at least 3 feet from the Gateway.

You lost me I have 3 tvs 1 router and just want to move 1 tv to a room that has no cable connection 

I am assuming gateway you mean my router?
