Red x 8

Wired receiver shows a red x with an 8 underneath it. Have tried rebooting it multiple times but nothing changes.

I'm assuming the red x and 8 are showing up on your TV screen so make sure the TV is set on channel 3 and the antenna is set to receive the cable box, reboot the gateway, and then reboot the receiver. If you have the home app on your phone make sure you are on the best channel. hope that works for you.

If your TV needs to be set to channel 3, it's probably time to buy a new TV.

But hypothetically, if the TV wasn't set to channel 3, you wouldn't see the red X, as that's an issue with U-Verse.
