Hi there, etgill1371. We understand how important it is that your recorded programs show with no freezing. Let's get you the help that you need!

We recommend a few troubleshooting steps that may help with your concern. Here are ways to fix issues with your U-verse TV recordings:

  1. Press and hold the POWER button for 5 seconds to reboot your DVR. All the lights on the DVR will go out.
  2. Press the POWER button again to restart.
  3. Press the Recorded TV button on your U-verse TV remote to select your recorded program.

Please let us know if this resolves your issue. If not, we may need to bring you into a DM to troubleshoot your service further.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Thanks for letting us know, @etgill1371!

So that we can take a look at what's going on with your recordings from our end, we'll need to speak privately. Check the Direct Message inbox in the top right corner of your screen. We'll be sending you a DM shortly. Once we're there, we can continue this via chat or via phone if you'd like.

In the meantime, try rebooting your gateway. This can help to refresh your connection to the network and potentially alleviate anything that may be contributing to the freezing/skipping on your recordings. You can perform the reboot manually by following these steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of your gateway or modem. If you have:
    • An internal battery backup, remove it
    • DSL, unplug the phone cord from your modem or gateway
  2. Wait 20 seconds.
  3. Put the internal battery back in if you have one.
  4. Plug the power cord back in. If you have DSL service, reconnect the phone cord.
  5. Wait for the gateway or modem to restart and your Broadband light to turn solid green. This can take up to 10 minutes.

We look forward to speaking with you!
