Recorded shows keep disappearing

For the last week or so my recorded shows list on my U-verse DVR keeps getting shorter and shorter. Even some shows I have set to not be deleted until I delete them have disappeared. I have tried rebooting the DVR as suggested but the deleted shows do not reappear. This has happened to both recent recordings and older recordings.

Hi there, ! We understand you are having a problem with your DVR recording disappearing. We would love to look at that with you. 

 

What we are going to do is ask some questions that will hopefully pin down that root cause of the problem. 

 

  1. Is the DVR Wired or Wireless? 
  2. If Wireless, have you tried reboot the AT&T internet equipment?
  3. Did that happen on just one DVR or can you see your recordings on other U-Verse TV receivers? 

Think about about the answers to those questions and reply back.

Hi Matthew, 

Thank you for your response. Our DVR is wired, and we cannot see the missing shows on any of the other U-verse boxes in the house. We have tried rebooting several times. Our DVR is a Cisco ISB7500 model. I think we’re going to call AT&T and request a new DVR. We’ve had U-verse for about 15 years and have never had this issue before.

Do you have your equipment plugged into a surge protector or an outlet?

 

We recommend that you plug your equipment into an outlet because surge protectors can cause:

  • Loss of service
  • Resets
  • Slow speeds
  • Equipment malfunctions
