Receiver Model # 8005 or 7500
Receiver broke. AT&T sent new one - it did not work. Service person spent 4 1/2 hours here trying to get it to work. Finally he found out that I have to have model 8005 or 7500 and he told me to call support to request that.
I called support and they are so annoying and completely stupid I cannot handle spending the 30 minutes on the phone repeating OVER AND OVER Again - the same thing.
What the (Edited per community guidelines) is wrong with AT&T - they used to be a decent company know they are a bunch of losers.

It seems you're using a wireless receiver. Were you sent one that requires a physical connection?
The tech should have had one on the truck.

My old DVR that broke had a physical connection.
The one they sent me had instructions to replace plug ins exactly as set up in broken DVR. We did that...It did not work. Tech came out and spent 4 and 1/2 hours on a SINGLE DVR and never got it to work. He said he finally found out that I needed either Model 8005 or model 7500 and they did not have any of those in St. Louis for the tech people... So he said to call support. I called support and they refused to stray from their script... they kept asking me the same thing that I had already told them in the previous 2 times I called in this issue.

Want to also report that the AT&T Tech support person said that I could take a DVR from another TV and use it until a replacement could be sent. I did that - and that did not work. I am beginning to think the tech did not know what they were doing.

Each account gets one DVR. These boxes are larger than the receivers. In addition, the DVRs are always wired.
